Acumen Leadership WorkStyles™ (LWS)
Building on the Life Styles Inventory™ (LSI), LWS helps
self-motivated leaders strengthen thinking and behavioral styles that promote
their effectiveness and moderate styles that prevent them from realizing their
potential. LWS provides rich, detailed information that can motivate, guide and
track the progress of leadership-development initiatives.

Format: Paper Computer-Scored; Online
Feedback Provided: The results of Self and Others’ reports on
personal orientations (Constructive (Satisfaction), Passive/Defensive
(People/Security), and Aggressive/Defensive (Task/Security)) and 12 specific
thinking and behavioral styles associated with these orientations; Descriptive
analysis of the leader in terms of his/her particular combination of styles,
including how he/she tends to behave and the degree to which these patterns are
effective or counter-productive
Presentation of Results: A comprehensive, personalized feedback
report that includes circumplexes,
interpretations of self and others’ perceptions, spread of opinion profile,
suggestions for development, and comments from others
Associated Outcomes: Research shows that the Acumen WorkStyles
and LSI styles are related to important indicators of individual effectiveness
including quality of interpersonal relations, managerial performance, openness
to feedback, stress, salary, and organizational level.
